      2019 Community Chest Issues Summit

      The Community Chest is hosting a Community Summit on Education.  This important event is focused on building partnerships between community agencies, individuals, organizations and schools to strengthen K-12 educational outcomes in eastern Bergen County.  The Summit will feature expert presentations and enable you to meet and work with people from all sectors - citizens, public officials, school administrators, nonprofit representatives, faith-based organizations, business owners and community leaders - on this critical issues.  This is a free half-day program. The Summit will feature expert presentations on successful School-Community partnerships that are making a difference here in New Jersey and enable you to meet people from all sectors—citizens, public officials, school administrators, nonprofit representatives, faith-based organizations, business owners, and community leaders— and work with them to think about how we can activate more resources to support our schools in the future. This free half-day program will be held on March 22, 2019 from 9 am – 1 pm at Dwight-Englewood School. Click here to register. The Community Chest is using a method called Participatory Planning that uses the collective wisdom, interests, and ideas of participants, as well as their unique perspectives and voices, to generate new ideas and guide action plans. By lending us your brain-power, you supercharge efforts to better our community’s future. Insights and ideas generated here will guide The Community Chest’s future work—focusing collaborative efforts, informing grant making, and shaping the professional development we provide to local nonprofit agencies. At the end of this Summit, we will all emerge with new, collective understanding of and commitment to addressing this critical issue in our community.
