In today's culture, the average person is constantly bombarded with information. Works of art frequently benefit from looking like one thing but saying another. bait-and-switch presents artists who employ this strategy – whose work captures the viewer's attention then pulls the rug out from under them. These artists deliver fresh perspectives on familiar means, leveraging a known medium, image or source material, and subverting it to their own means.

      Artists' Bios:

Brooke Cashbaugh – is a painter and photographer born and raised in Northern Indiana. In 2009, Cashbaugh received a grant to travel across the United States and documenting his experience. Molly Di Grazia – is a painter and writer originally from San Francisco, currently living and working in New York. She has published her writing in several magazines and exhibited her painting several times in New York City. She received a B.A. in Creative Writing from Eugene Lang in 2006.
