      10am Opening Ceremony .................................................................. 9/11 Garden, Quad
      Join RCC President, Dr. Michael A. Baston, and NY State Senator, David Carlucci, as they welcome everyone to RCC’s Constitution Day celebration. RCC Performing Arts student, Tyler Miranda, will recite the Preamble to the Constitution, followed by the National Anthem.

      10:30am Kahoots Session............................................................Technology Center, Ellipse
      Participate in a live, interactive, technology-enhanced Constitution trivia quiz in a “gaming” format through Kahoots. Access the game from your smartphone and win prizes.

      11am Live Student Debate......................................................Technology Center, Ellipse
      Criminal justice students debate the still contentious issues revolving around New York State’s “Raise the Age” law.

      Noon Ben Franklin visits RCC .............................................................Black Box Theater
      Hear from Ben Franklin, who will explain the background behind the Constitution, his participation at the Constitutional Convention, and how there might not be a Constitution today without his help.

      12:30pm Kahoots Session....................................................... Technology Center, Ellipse
      Participate in another round of Kahoots, which features a live interactive, technology-enhanced Constitution trivia quiz in a “gaming” format. Access the Kahoots game from your smartphone and win prizes.

      1pm The Road to Marriage Equality .....................................Technology Center, Ellipse
      Assistant Professor/ Chair of Communication Media Arts, Beth Robinson, made legal history obtaining a divorce from her former wife in NY State Supreme Court prior to marriage equality being passed. Learn about her ground-breaking case as well as the history of marriage equality in the United States.
