Follow the Value: Emerging Markets for The Coming Decade

James Berman: Founder and President, JBGlobal LLC; Adjunct Instructor in Finance, NYU School of Professional Studies You will Learn: How to understand asset class valuation How to distinguish value from noise How to analyze emerging markets on an earnings-yield basis Warren Buffett teaches to be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy. By pinpointing the asset class plagued by maximum fear, a long-term investor can often spot the next promising opportunity. But an investment is only a good buy if it's cheap relative to the earnings and cash flows. James Berman will walk investors through an earnings yield analysis to demonstrate why the next decade's returns are likely to be generated by emerging markets stocks. James Berman heads JBGlobal.com LLC, a registered investment advisory firm serving high-net-worth individuals and trusts.  With over 20 years of portfolio management experience, he specializes in value investing and asset allocation. Berman also manages a global equities fund that invests in the U.S., Europe and Asia.  As a faculty member in the finance departments of the NYU School of Professional Studies, he received a 2014 award for Teaching Excellence.  He also serves as a subadvisor to Eitan Ventures LLC, a venture capital fund based in New York. Berman has appeared on CNBC and has been published and quoted in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, Fortune, Bloomberg and CNN Money.  He's a regular blogger for Forbes and is the author of "Lessons from the Lemonade Stand: A Common Sense Primer on Investing", winner of the Next Generation Indie Award for Best Non-Fiction e-book of 2013.
