Binaural Dream Workshop Friday, May 17th, 7:30 - 9pm Friday, June 7th, 7:30 - 9pm Friday, August 9th, 7:30 - 9pm Sunday, September 15th, 4:30 - 6pm Synchronized vibrations are at the heart of human consciousness. Mastering the brain's relationship with vibration can help unlock our ability to focus, relax, and even lucid dream. In Binaural Dream's sound bath, Melodic Rav Drum rhythms and deep theta binaural beats will be used to heal our souls and open our hearts. The word “binaural” means relating to or used by both ears. "Binaural beats" describes a change in brain activity while listening to two slightly different tones with stereo headphones. The brain hears a beating tone at the rate of the difference between the tones, not the actual tones themselves. NIH backed research has demonstrated that this phenomenon can entrain the brain into brainwave states associated with deep relaxation, mindfulness, and even transcendent states. We will be lying on the floor, or whatever position you prefer for deep relaxation. Wireless headphones will be provided. About Binaural Dream: Binaural Dream is an exploration of sound's ability to entrain the brain into higher states of consciousness. Layers of isochronic tones, deep bass, and Rav Drum rhythms are performed live as participants relax, release pain and rise into ever higher peaks of love and gratitude. The performance is experienced through headphones in order to maximize the psychoacoustic effect of the Binaural Beat tone. The sound bath is performed by Sanj. Sanj started his career supporting research at SETI. It was during his time working at radio astronomy laboratories that he began contemplating consciousness through the lens of resonance and vibration. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in Astrophysics, Sanj went on to spend the next 10 years working as a sound designer, composer, and app developer. Sanj created Binaural Dream to explore how psychoacoustics and music can be used to help us relax, recharge, and heal.
