      Deciphering Financial Statements                                                           In order to enhance decision-making, small business owners should fully understand the meaning, significance, and connection of the major financial statements. Sallie Mullins Thompson discusses the need to identify important business numbers, what they indicate and how they relate to each other, as well as the need for accurate information. Presented by the New York State Society of CPAs.  Part of Financial Planning Day  Clasroom 1   Sallie Mullins Thompson started her CPA practice in 1995, providing assistance to professionals, families, and small business owners in accounting; tax return preparation; budgeting/cash flow; payroll; income/asset protection; investments; and college/retirement planning.  In addition, she is a holistic financial planner; tax strategist; investment adviser; and divorce financial analyst and helps her clients navigate all aspects of their financial lives.  In 2015 Sallie  was appointed by the US Treasury to a 3-year term representing New York on the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP), making recommendations to the IRS regarding taxpayer service and serving as the TAP Vice Chair in 2017. Sallie is certified as a MWBE with NYS/NYC.  She is a member of the Advisory Council of Women Impacting Public Policy and a Director of the board of the Accountants Club of America.
