Dates: Saturday & Sunday (3 weeks) November 21st & 22nd | November 28th & 29th | December 5th & 6th Time: 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. Location: 63 Governor Street Paterson NJ, 07501 p.s. please reserve your tickets here so that we can track attendance and keep everyone safe during these uncertain times. Masks must be worn through the exhibit and there will be hand sanitizer and other health measures provided to keep everyone safe. We ask that if you are not feeling well please stay home. This exhibition was organized as an antidote to the difficult times that we are living in. The Covid -19 pandemic , social isolation, economic uncertainty not to mention the recent election are just some of the reasons that many people feel anxious and depressed. There is no better way to reconnect ourselves to life and sense of normality than Art. Both artists and Art lovers alike are desperately in need to take part in an Art exhibition. An old building of former Beer Factory in Paterson N.J. is an ideal place to have an Art exhibition during this time. Its large industrial space spread over 5 floors offers a safe area for social distancing for people while visiting at the same time. The building which was subjected to deterioration due to time and natural elements offers remarkable beauty within its walls for an eye trained to see it. Many of the artist participating in this exhibition chose to do installations using elements of this interesting structure. There are many challenges with making such exhibition and at the same time many advantages as well. Emil Silberman's curatorial idea for this exhibition is simple. He looks to blend Art with the natural beauty of this building and its surroundings. Intentionally he decided not to choose a theme for this exhibition because he found it to be limiting and unnecessary. Artists should be free to create work that they like without any specific themes or ideas imposed on them. In addition there will be a large body of work that will be brought in from artist's studios and a challenge will be to properly position it and make it blend naturally with the rest of the exhibition. Our inspiration for this event is for artists to work together, learn from each other and to educate art loving public to see beauty in places where it is otherwise hard to discover without Art.
