      Run the Rock 2019 - Obstacle Course in Support of Veterans' Services

      Rockland Community College (RCC) Veterans Affairs and Rockland Homes for Heroes invite you to join us for our second Obstacle Course/Fun Run on Saturday, June 8, 2018.  All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit RCC veterans' programs and Rockland Homes for Heroes. The obstacle course/fun race is for ages 14 & over! Run the Rock, an obstacle course/fun run to be held on RCC’s main campus, will include 22 professionally designed obstacles over a 5K course. Free activities for all ages (bounce house & face painting) T-shirts for all participants Vendors Sponsorship opportunities available Open to the public Tax deductible donation REGISTER EARLY! $35 per person, $45 after May 31 $25 for RCC students & staff Registration includes a race bib and t-shirt only if you sign up before Friday, May 31, 2018. You can pick up your items at the registration table the day of the event. *Check-in begins 45 minutes before your race time.  Following please find the race time blocks: 9 - 10:15 am, 10:30 - 11:45 am and noon -1:30 pm.* *Please note that you will be assigned a racetime based on the time block you choose (ex. 9 am, 9:45 am, etc.) Interested in becoming a sponsor? The last day to register is Friday, June 7, 2018. $35 per person. $45 after May 31. What is the refund policy? There are no refunds. Can I volunteer? Yes and your friends can too!  You can sign up at Run the Rock Volunteer Form. Race/Event When should I arrive? Please arrive at least 45 minutes before your wave/race time. What should I wear to the race? Sneakers are required. Participants should wear comfortable clothing, long pants recommended because of the partially wooded area. Will there be activities for children? Yes, there will be a bounce house and face painting. Are spectators allowed? Yes, spectators are allowed. What are my parking options for getting to and from the event? Parking is free.  Are the events timed?  Only the first race is timed. The other events are not timed. Can I skip an obstacle? Yes. Will this event be held rain or shine?  Yes. This is an outdoor event so plan accordingly if inclement weather is in the forecast. Will there be first aid available?
